Disa Carneol – Swinging Trapeze

American born, Disa Carneol spent much of her childhood in rural Wisconsin; climbing trees, jumping off swing sets, and pretending to be Peter Pan. In the summer of 1856 making a chin-up bar over his father’s swimming pool, a young French teen Jules Leotard began to execute numerous acrobatic acts creating the first swinging trapeze. For Disa, taking a trapeze class with a local aerial dance troupe would change her life forever, setting her on the path to becoming a professional circus artist. Since then, Disa’s performances have taken her all over the world, from London to Shanghai to Montreal and back again. Her favorite part of being in the air is sharing her joy and exhilaration with the audience.
